consisting of settings of Shakespeare by Britten, Dove, Linley,
Mendelssohn, Purcell, Sullivan and Tippett. A light-hearted
second half of surprises introduced by the artists, ranging
from Gershwin to Coward and even Flanders & Swann.

James Bowman, the renowned countertenor and
President of the Dorking Concertgoers Society, will be joined
for this concert by Catherine Bott, the well-known soprano and
Radio 3 presenter. In a light-hearted concert they will present
music for a midsummer night plus a selection of surprise items.
This concert is sure to form a delightful end to the season.
